The Ixxat CANbridge NT 420 is a powerful CAN-to-CAN bridge with support for CAN FD. This allows you to easily connect four CAN networks or two CAN FD systems. In addition, the bridge simplifies message exchange, as filters, rules, and functions can be applied flexibly. For example, messages can be routed, modified, or translated between different networks.

In addition, the CANbridge NT 420 supports network conversion between different bit rates and frame formats, such as 11- and 29-bit identifiers. This allows CAN and CAN FD networks to work together seamlessly during communication. Furthermore, the bridge enables the manipulation, evaluation, filtering, and routing of CAN messages. This creates a flexible solution for industrial and automotive CAN applications.

The CANbridge NT 420 CAN FD bridge also features a powerful microcontroller for fast and reliable data processing. This allows the device to efficiently perform message filtering, ID translation, and data multiplexing. This is important, for example, during the conversion of CAN FD to classic CAN messages. The bridge also handles high data rates without message loss. Finally, you can easily configure the system using the included Windows® software.

Configuratie en firmware update

Met behulp van een eenvoudig te bedienen Windows-configuratietool kan de CANbridge NT 420 worden geconfigureerd en kunnen firmware-updates via USB worden uitgevoerd. De tool maakt het heel eenvoudig om filter-, mapping- of vertaalregels te configureren zonder enige programmeerkennis. Met de tool kan de configuratie van filter-, mapping- of vertaalregels heel eenvoudig worden uitgevoerd, zonder programmeervaardigheden.

Met behulp van mappingtabellen kan de uitwisseling van berichten tussen alle kanalen zeer flexibel worden geconfigureerd. Filter- en conversieregels kunnen worden toegepast op de CAN FD/CAN-berichten. Hierdoor kan de busbelasting in de afzonderlijke netwerken worden verminderd, aangezien alleen relevante berichten naar het andere netwerk worden verzonden.

LUA SDK

De CANbridge NT 420 wordt standaard geleverd met de Ixxat Lua ADK (Application Development Kit). Deze is gebaseerd op de standaard Lua 5.3.5-distributie, een volledig functionele implementatie van Lua 5.3 en geoptimaliseerd voor CANbridge NT. Lua-scripts kunnen worden gebruikt om extra functionaliteit te implementeren voor het verwerken van of reageren op CAN-berichten.

FAQ

  • Are CAN terminating resistors built into the CANbridge NT 420?

    There are no built-in CAN terminating resistors, and there is no provision for one. If necessary, terminating resistors can be installed across the CAN connections, for each desired CAN channel. Alternatively, we offer the PCAN-Adapter D-Sub to Screw Terminals as an accessory.

  • Does this bridge support CANopen or J1939?

    Yes, the CANbridge NT 420 works with all CAN messages, including CANopen and J1939

    However, the CAN messages are not interpreted as CANopen or J1939. In filter and mapping tables, or action rules, for example, the messages are treated as standard CAN messages. enquire about the configuration options.

  • Can I order on account?

    Yes, that's definitely possible! Most customers place their orders through a Purchase Order.
