The Anybus Wireless Bridge II CAN is a compact and robust solution for wirelessly connecting CAN-based systems in industrial environments. This device enables the wireless conversion of existing CAN communication to Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi connections without any modifications to the messages. This allows machines, vehicles, and installations to easily communicate with each other without physical cabling.

There are basically three main applications: wireless cable replacement (point-to-point), wireless networking (multi-point), and wirelessly connecting CAN

The housing of the Wireless Bridge II CAN is specifically designed for use in industrial environments and combines robustness with a compact and practical design. The module is housed in a sturdy, industrial plastic casing. The IP65 rating ensures reliable operation under harsh conditions. The combination of flexibility and quick installation makes the Wireless Bridge II CAN particularly suitable for applications such as mobile machines, AGVs, and robotic projects. This makes it a future-proof solution for efficient and wireless industrial communication.

The Wireless Bridge II CAN is available with an internal or external antenna. The external antenna does not provide better range but allows connectivity if the Wireless Bridge needs to be placed inside a radio-secure environment such as a steel cabinet.

FAQ

  • Is there a CAN terminating resistor built into the Wireless Bridge II CAN?

    There is no built-in CAN terminating resistor, and there is no provision for one. If necessary, a terminating resistor can be installed across the CAN connections. Alternatively, we offer the PCAN-Adapter D-Sub to Screw Terminals as an accessory.

  • Does this gateway support CANopen or J1939?

    Yes, the Wireless Bridge II CAN works with all CAN messages, including CANopen and J1939

    However, the CAN messages are not interpreted as CANopen or J1939.

  • Can I order on account?

    Yes, that's definitely possible! Most customers place their orders through a Purchase Order.
    First request a quote and then send the purchase order (PO) by email, simply from your own purchasing system. For first time buyers, we may ask additional questions in order to perform a credit check. Please contact us if you require our company details for registration in the purchasing system.

    For security reasons, customers located in, or wishing to ship to, countries outside the Benelux must always pay in advance.
